The jersey revisits the iconic T-shaped design, conceived by Enrique Cabarcos in the 1990s, giving the club a modern visual identity. This historic silhouette accompanied Deportivo La Coruña on their European debut in 1994, but its debut was against Murcia on January 20, 1991. Now, over 30 years later, this jersey elegantly reinterprets the design: the now inverted blue stripes evoke the spirit of Deportivo La Coruña and their first Champions League triumph.

The jersey design draws direct inspiration from the 1995-96 season, when De Boer won their first Spanish Super Cup and nearly reached the UEFA Cup Winners’ Cup final against Paris Saint-Germain. That season is deeply etched in the fans’ collective memory, and the jersey’s design now echoes the team’s recent successes, including the U19 team’s Champions League victory in the 2020-21 season, five years after their triumph.
